You would have : an old cotton tshirt,seat covers from the plane , foil food plates, large plastic bottle , old plastic bucket,sick bags, plenty of dry wood,an old cigarette lighter (no fuel) , cold water from the swamp, sand on the beach, leaves, make up mirror,broken glass, and rubber tubing from the plane
This is far from a complete answer but I’ll give it a go since you don’t have any other responses yet!
The idea behind it is that heat would kill whatever organisms are in the swamp water, and when you boil salt water the steam does not pick up the salt particles, just water (that’s part of the reason if you boil a pot of water dry it leaves marks on the pot – the water leaves but the minerals stay).
So here’s my idea. Make a fire using whatever fuel you can. Put the swamp water in the foil plates and boil it up, Meanwhile, rig the bucket so that it catches the steam, then poke a hole in the bottom to run the tubing through. The steam will theoretically gather into the tubing and condense, turning back into water. Direct the other end of the tubing into your plastic water bottle to catch the condensation, wait, wait, wait, and eventually you will have a bottle full of distilled water.
I know in reality it’s a lot more complicated but that’s the general idea!
