how to wire an electric brake control box on my 1990 chevy k-1500?
The brake control box should have 4 wires coming out of it. Hopefully you have a wiring diagram for it. Those wires should be: Hot – attached to 12 volts, Ground – attached to ground, Output – going to the trailer connector, and Input – connected to brake switch wire. Basically you need hot and ground to run the unit, the trigger wire to tell the box when to work (when you are applying the brakes) and the output telling the trailer brakes to work. Good luck!
