want to know about the animals lost in victorias fires?
can anyone tell me if an official count was done in reference to the death toll of livestock, pets & wildlife?also what we farmers in N.S.W can do for them in regards to helping re-stocking the farms that have lost everything?I have donated cash all ready!!!
There were some news reports that said the death toll of wildlife could be as large as 1 million. You could try searching wildlife protection agency websites. Well done on donating cash, that is a great way of helping. If you wanted to make donations of feed or other items for helping farmers affected by the bush fires, but weren’t sure of who to contact, you could try contacting ABC radio (abc.net.au) or the DSE or contact livestock yards in Victoria that may be housing livestock from fire affected properties. These places may may be able to suggest some organisations who could use you assistance.
