Last year I attended a conference in the industry of Meetings Incentives Conferences and Events in Monte Carlo organized by Naseba and I observed their slogan – “Success is a Choice”. I don’t think that somebody which is successful and remain like this no matter the stage of the economy does it without choosing to be this way. And here is the catch. Success in business is a dream for everybody but only few can touch it. When we admire people from the top – Forbes, s.o. I wonder if we ever get in consideration the personal efforts assumed to arrive there. For example, many sleepless nights, waking up at 4 am, working 7 days a week at least 12 hours a day, passing unbelievable hard barriers which are on the way. What we see is the result but how hard is to arrive there?

First, all this people have a vision. It is something that inspire them and sometimes the closest persons in their life – can be a business, a desire to become singer or actor, and is something staying in front of your eyes and driving you to succeed. Many future-millionaires, by contrary, have to keep the vision for themselves, because all the people around him try only to discourage. But think for a second how hard is for you to be driven by a vision which sounds like nothing for everybody around you? It seems like “Mission Impossible”, don’t? So vision is a holistic goal and you need to believe in it, this is the first step to make it happen. The bigger the goal, the more barriers are on the way to succeed. Some years ago I learned about how you can transform things you barely know how to do in your second nature. For example now you don’t know how to build a website. So you start learning by doing and continue to do so building other sites and implement new templates and technologies and you become persistent. As a result, in a certain period of time you can become a wealthy entrepreneur in building websites and this activity become like your second nature. It is something normal and common to you doing this and the fact that you are a wealthy entrepreneur is not just a dream is pure touchable reality. Without being persistent and continuing doing you can’t arrive there. To work 7 days a week, 12 hours a day which is something which can’t be avoided especially in the first years you need an iron discipline. Maybe you also want to have a family or to take care of your relatives so be very careful with planning business vs. family. And if came in my mind the word “planning” nothing can be done without a good planning which is a framework of all the activities, is a solution which should drive you there. In the real life, most of the time, the actual happenings are different from the original planning so the entrepreneurs have to be very creative in finding new solutions to the new problems and obstacles.

The entrepreneurs tend to deal with more than 1 business at a time. The diversification is a good strategy but the essence is to focus on one task at a time. Even if in one day you have 10 tasks, don’t do multitasking because you will lose focus. Take one task at a time, finish it and after that go to the next task. Don’t do one task and be with the mind at the other 9 which have to be completed because it is very unproductive. And stay focused on your vision and transform it into reality.
