The Wonders of the Telehandler
The Telehandler is an all purpose machinery that has combined uses in construction, manufacturing, and agriculture. The beauty of the telehandler is that it can do the functions of the forklift, the manlift, and the scissorlift all in one.
The telehandler can do the functions of a forklift as it is able to move cargo from one place to another. However, its functions are expanded so as to reach high places. A telehandler can carry cargo from up to 6 storeys high so that it can function very well where the forklift is limited. A forklift can raise cargo only up to less than 4 meters and that’s it. However, because of its bulk, its weakness as compared against the forklift is that it cannot go through narrow places to get cargo. It functions like a giant hand but this giant hand cannot go inside a trailer truck which the forklift can easily do.
The telehandler can also do the functions of a scissor lift and a man lift. It can attach a platform to its giant arm and lift personnel wherever he wants to go. It has a higher degree of flexibility in navigating the sides of a structure and is faster to operate. Because it acts like a giant hand, personnel can go up and down and sideways whereas a scissorlift can only go up or down. The scissorlift has to move the whole machine to a desired spot before lifting personnel vertically. The only disadvantage of the telehandler over the scissorlift is that it can move fewer people because its platform is smaller than that of a scissorlift. A manlift on the other hand may be able to reach higher than a scissorlift but it can move fewer personnel. The higher that it can reach, the fewer personnel it can carry.
The great thing about the telehandler is that it is an all around machine that can perform almost anything. In the farm it can carry hay and other cargo with attachments like the Hay and Manure Forks. Imagine working in the farm with a mechanized giant hand. This is what a telehandler can do. You can attach General Purpose and Specialty Buckets in this giant hand for carrying functions. You can attach hooks, snow plows, stacking forks, and even giant brooms. my boss at work asked me to search for a scaffolding ladder or a manlift that can be used inside villas by family members that its easy to store, handle, set up, move from one place to another and light.
