Rental Villa in Moraira with Private Swimming Pool Balcony and Sea Views La Fuente is located beside a tranquil valley with wonderful sea views. It is contructed as authentic Spanish villa with independant, individual apartment, both having been specified to a luxury standard. The accommodation is light and spacious, with large, mature landscaped gardens and private Pool. The is a terrace area with loungers by the Pool and a separate area for dining al fresco with a built-in barbeque. Parking is ok for upto three cars onsite and further parking on the road if required.

The private villa is only a short drive from the delightful El Portet beach and the pretty town of Moraira, which has managed to bypass the overbuilt development of some of the other towns on the Costa Blanca. There are many fascinating places to see in the region, brilliant mountain scenery as well as many good, reasonable restaurants where you can sample a meal with wine for approx 9 euros per head.

Moraira apparently has the greatest restaurant in Spain. All in all, whatever you like, has a busy port area and direct ferries across to the Balearics. ….. Gandia and Oliva, further up from Denia, boast long stretches of golden white sand and are often good for windsurfing. Other nearby towns include Gata de Gorges (famous for its cane and furniture), Teulada and Benissa (typical working Spanish towns) and Altea, which has a lovely old part and church. Benidorm, with its long stretches of sandy beach, is more lively and close by are the attractions of Terra Mitica (a theme park), Aqualandia (water park) and Mundomar (Sea life attraction).

Going inland is an absolute must if you like beautiful mountain scenery. Drive through the Jalon valley and to the lovely waterfalls at el Algar and then onto Guadalest, an impressive rock formation with stunning views. The cities of Valencia and Alicante are also well worth a visit, with their old buildings, museums, galleries and excellent night life. Moraira / Cumbre del Sol Area: Cumbre del Sol is set on the most elevated points of Benitatxell – strategically located in the heart of Marina Alta– from where beautiful panoramic views can be contemplated. It has Beaches and coves, green areas and parks, sports and leisure activities, first-class infrastructures, shopping centre, banks, a chemist shop, a health centre, all a few minutes drive from the apartment. The nearby Morach beach and the Los Arcos cave are famous for practicing diving. There are crystal clear waters and spectacularly beautiful settings. By the beach you ll find parking and 2 drinks and snacks stalls, along with hammocks, sun umbrellas, etc. The beautiful town Moraira is just ten minutes drive away. Formerly a small fishing village (some of the old parts still remain) which has developed into a charming small town retaining a village atmosphere. How to get there: Alicante is the nearest airport to La Fuente and is an hour’s drive away. Valencia airport is about an hour and a quarter’s drive from the villa. Cheap flights are available to Alicante from easyJet, FlyBe, bmibaby and Thompson Fly. Guest Book: Had a brilliant holiday. Villa is great. Pool is lovely – we couldn’t keep our daughter out. This is third time visiting Moraira and best yet. Would certainly come again. We all has a wonderful time. Good quiet place for a family holiday. The nearby town is good for teenage children night life. We will be back one day! We all had a great time. The weather was good, the beach was lovely. Food and service was brilliant. Pool and villa spot on. Moraira location: Moraira is an attractive Spanish town, with a lovely sea front and promenade, a very good choice of shops and restaurants catering for all tastes and pockets. There is a wonderful marina area and several good beaches – El Portet and the main beach in the town. There is a market day on Friday, which is well worth a visit, and plenty of other markets in nearby towns. The main time for festivals is in July, when the famous Moors and Christians festival takes place and is celebrated across many towns in the area. Local activities include golf, sailing and watersports, hiking and go-karting. Cars that are cheap, overbuilt and reliable?

What would you recommend as a safe family car that won’t break down, but can be had for under $5k?
I guess I should something than other than the Civics, Corolla, Accord and Camry that we expect on the list. Thanks for the tip on the Impala/Caprice.

1993 – 1996 Chevy Impala / Caprice. Ford Crown Victoria, 1990’s and newer. Early 90’s Volvo. These were all way over built and nearly indestructible. That is why almost every police department in the US had one or the other of the first two. But with them get the V8 they were well built, the V6’s were not very durable. Also about any GM car with the 3.8 V6 is good.
