HTML / Youtube – How do I crop and embed an existing youtube video?
I would like to embed a movie trailer from youtube into my myspace profile. The movie trailer is widescreen which results in horizontal black bars at the top and bottom of the youtube window. I would like to know how to remove the bars.
Specifically I would like to embed http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-RbpQUqosI into a window that is 425 width 191 height AND remove the black bars. So far I have only been able to resize the window, but this also resizes the video making it much smaller which I do not want.
Is there a way to show only the center 191 pixels of the video?

But editing in embed is impossible. SO I`ll tell you how to get it from downloading.
First get a youtube downloader. I would suggest Vconversion, a good video downloader.

Ok, the next part may not help you, if you don`t have the right software.
If you have Flash CS3, open it up. Drag the downloaded youtube video into flash. Click whatever you want as its parameters. When your done, put your video on a bottom layer. Select the layer ontop of it. Use the rectangle tool. Now, this is where it gets tricky.
Go onto your myspace page, and press Print Screen (the PrtScr button on your keyboard.
Then paste it on the flash CS3 project. Use the eyedrop tool and click on the place where you want to put your video. This is the color you will use for your rectangle. Now use the rectangle with the color you got, and put it on the black thick lines.
Then save your video file into an .mov (Edit that on publish prefrences)
Then put your edited video on myspace. The rectangles should blend in with the background its in and BAM! No more black lines.
