My lawn has become a sand pit..with ants..little to no grass. Where should we start? I live in NH….?
I have a side lawn that is really suffering…many spots have been taken over by sand (thanks to our snow plow guy and our lack of cleaning up after the winter…) and of course…ants love it. I want to restore this part of the lawn…where do we start? Thanks! HealthTchr
Take out as much of the sand/salt (from stupid snowplough guy) as possible and replace it with rich soil (you can buy it from any hardware store)
Once you have done that water it a little bit just so its moist.
Next get your grass seeds (you can buy these at the hardware store) and scatter it evenly across the desired area.
Now water it some more, (you can even use that Miracle Grow Spay stuff,– it dose wonders!)
Put up a sign or something to warm others not to stomp on your growing grass (just in case it isn’t obvious enough for them)
watch it grow, it’s going to take about 2 -3 weeks, depending how well you water it and how many people stomp on it..
