bolt in gas tank?
i have a 1979 Dodge ramcharger very suped up and the guy that had it before said there is a big bolt in the gas tank and the vehicle is designed for off road use and the fuel cell is p-lastic poly and is surounded my a inch of steel built on to the skid plate, i have been expecting the bolt to rust ro i replace the fuel filter VERY regulerly is that what i should do? or is there a better way?
Yeah cooks n cars is right. Even a regular steel bolt should never rust enough to cause serious damage if you change your fuel filter at normal intervals. Every 50,000 miles should be more than sufficient. Byt if you are really anal about it, stainless would do it.
