A lot of people complain about the sheer number of freight trucks on the highways. They’re big. They’re intimidating. Some truck drivers seem to think they own the road and can do anything they want including passing a slower truck on an upgrade even if it means holding up traffic in the “fast land”. Sometimes one of their tires will blow, causing a dangerous situation for the smaller vehicles around it.
I can relate to those who get frustrated with freight trucks. I’ve felt that way. But I have to remind myself that without freight trucks we wouldn’t be able to buy and enjoy a lot of the things we just take for granted will always be there for us.
Trucks deliver produce and staples to our grocery stores, hardware stores, furniture stores – just about every store you can think of has products for us to buy because freight trucks were able to deliver them.
Driving a truck sounds like it would be an easy job. But the hours are grueling and there is a lot of stress involved. And there are a lot of boring hours of driving too. Truck drivers have destinations they have to reach by a certain time and yet they can’t drive more than a set number of hours in one stretch before being required by law to take an 8 hour break. If it is a team of drivers, one might get some sleep while the other one drives. But then again, not everyone can sleep while their truck is vibrating down the road. Those trucks aren’t exactly as smooth riding as a smaller pickup truck or SUV.
So sometimes truck drivers might not get as much sleep as they really need and may tend to get a little sleepy while at the wheel. That can be a dangerous situation to be in.
There is a product that can help keep any tired driver from nodding off at the wheel. It’s called the Nap Alarm and is worn on the ear. When the driver’s head slumps down, the alarm goes off. This is a great deterrent to a freight truck driver falling asleep and ending up on the wrong side of the median in a head-on collision.
Obviously the best course of action for any driver is to be fully rested before getting behind the wheel for an extended journey. But having the Nap Alarm along to make sure the sunshine and long stretch of boring highway don’t lull you to sleep is an added precaution – one that could save your life.

Would this be a good tire for my ATV?
Im looking for new tires for my 1987 Suzuki 250 QuadRunner 4×4. I came across some a tire called the Duro Excavator HF274. It is exactly the kind of tire that I want because it is good for mud and snow. It is a 4ply tire. But what im not sure about is if it might be to heavy for my quad and if the treads are going to be to agressive for the transmission on my quad becasue it is only a 250cc. The orignal tires that came on this ATV were only 2 ply tires and where Dirt Hooks. Do you think that this would be a good tire for me to get?

It looks like a good tire to me. The four ply is a plus, because you don’t have to worry as much about puncturing a tire.
