Have you ever had a project that involved cutting off rusted or stripped bolts? Did you ever dread trying to use that old hacksaw to do the job for you?
Well folks, not anymore! Probably the best, easiest, and most versatile handyman tool ever created has to be in my opinion the Dremel tool. For those of you not familiar with a Dremel tool it is an electrically operated rotating cutter, sander, and polisher. This nifty little unit comes in many different models and speeds, but the overall unit can easily fit into the palm of your hand and save you countless hours of frustration.
Take for example, rusted mounting bolts on the base of your toilet. Have you ever tried to put a socket or a crescent wrench on 1 of those rusted nuts? What’s the first thing that happens? The bolt spins because the nut is either stripped or rusted onto the bolt.
Now have you ever tried to use a hacksaw to cut off this bolt and nut? Have you noticed how clumsy, awkward, and ill fitting this is in your hand? Sometimes the hacksaw lays to horizontally close to the base, and you could end up marring the finish from the back and forth movement of the hacksaw. Or perhaps you may not have enough room to even fit the hacksaw in the area you need to cut off those bolts.
Not with the nifty and convenient Dremel tool! You can easily by putting on a cutting disc and cut off that bolt right below the nut for easy and painfree removal! This tool is super amazing! Honestly, you can finish projects quickly, easily, and painfree!
Not only is the Dremel good for cutting but you can also sand, polish, and drill with this unit. Each Dremel usually comes with cutting, sanding, and polishing discs, allong with a convenient carrying case for both the Dremel and your attachments.
The key here folks is convenience. Why do things manually? Let the tool do the work!

my car has a scratch and it is starting to rust – how do i stop the rusting?
ok, well i got this car and it has this huge scratch in the front passenger door. and the scratch is beginning to rust! is there anything i can do to stop it from rusting without taking it to a shop or spending a ton of money? thanks for the advice!
To be super cheap, assuming you dont care about the appearance of that part of the car, you can do the following:
First, sand off the paint and rust down to the metal all along the scratch, as well as about 2 inches on either side to really get it all out of there.
Second, go buy a good quality rust blocker somewhere like oreillys or something and paint it on over the sanded area. This will basically make a water tight seal so no rust can come back where you just got rid of it.
Third, go buy some spray paint that matches your cars color the best you can, and paint over. It will be ugly, and it may only be temporary, but it will work for a bit. Maybe some more experienced body men can shine some light as to how well this will work.
