Skid loaders are engine powered machines with rigid frames that are easy to maneuver. Normally four wheel drive, skid loaders have lift arms beside the driver. The major pivot points are located behind the shoulders of the operators. With the correct skid loader attachments, these are really flexible pieces of equipment.
A huge range of additional attachments can be supported by skid loaders. These machine attachments enable them to perform a huge variety of jobs. The bucket attachments allow the usual job of humping mud and dirt. But with the other attachments, the capabilities are just endless.
The claws are operated under pressure to grab, take hold, struggle and lift heavy objects. The giant drill bit looking augers dig deep and clean holes for foundations. Their operation adheres to the Archimedes principle.
The backhoes are used for digging and scooping. They are the steel buckets attached to the arm which is operated under hydraulic pressure. Trenchers are used to do digging jobs for ditches and other long narrow channels cut into the ground called trenches, as the name implied by the attachments.
The sharp blades of plows are pulled across the soil, snow, or leaves turning them over or pushing them to the side. The plows can have curved plates at the top or angled for more convenient functioning. Hitches are used to perform pulling tasks by hooking or fastening something into them. They are machines to the backs in similar manner as trailer hitches on cars.
Cutting grasses come to mind when mentioning mowers. These are skid loader attachments or tools with sharp blades for cutting something like grass, corn or wheat. Rakes may be tasked to continue the job after cutting. These tools consist of metal teeth rows to gather leaves or loose cut materials, smooth the earth, and level it.
The attachments fitted to the front of skid steer loaders are dozer blades. The large metal blades are used to push and move dirt, debris, earth, stone, and other heavy materials. The attachments called forks are similar to those on forklifts. These blades are tools for carrying or lifting heavy objects. These are capable of lifting and moving goods stored in flat wooden or metal platforms called pallets or other suspended loads like heavy bags.
